  • Pastor Bens talks and story telling are great to listen to.

While I'm not sure how much money went into building Cape Cod's first megachurch, I'm sure most of it could have gone to supporting local Cape Cod communities while a more humble church was built. The building itself says a lot about the humility of its pastor and his ultimate goal of making the most money he can. If Jesus was around today he'd be running laps around that monstrosity with a whip flipping tables.

Cape Cod Church, with its 'city on a hill' facade, has no substance once you look behind the veneer of its golden windows and luxurious interior. If you're ultimately looking for a big and flashy church to show off your "lily-white Christian" family and throw money at a pseudo-humble avaricious preacher man then this is the church for you. If you're looking for a place of true connection and community where you feel lifted up rather than cast aside try one of the many smaller, more modest churches on Cape Cod that helps their communities and congregates together like a family.

Or don't go to church at all. Sleeping in on Sundays is nice.
